Although this site is about Ms Trudi Canavan's novels, I was wondering what other books people read. I only bother with fantasy novels and sometimes Horror books. What about other people?

I read the Inheritance series, the first book is called Eragon and the second that has just come out is named Eldest, they are very good books, maybe not as fun to read as the magicians guild set but its still a good read.  |

another of my fave series of books is probably the Darren Shan Saga, brilliant !

Ooh, another trilogy I'm mad on is the Garth Nix, Old Kingdom one. They're well worth a read.

I found the inheritance books to be predictable and pretty badly written, and really sexist... nowhere near in the same league as BMT but just my opinion. I began to read Garth Nix but couldn't finish the first one but I’m going to give it another go. I would defiantly propose Phillip Pullman's Northern Lights, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass. The Thief, The Queen Of Attollia and The King Of Attollia are good reads. The there is TC's other trilogy which i thought was amazing, i was gripped from the beginning. Oh, and another great series is The books of Pellinor by Allison Croggon, if you liked BMT you will definitely love that series.  |
